Where's that purity ring now? Nick Jonas talks sex and music

Nick Jonas has made it clear he wants fans to “have sex to his music”. The 22-year-old former Jonas Brother has today released his new album, following a racy topless photo shoot with Flaunt magazine last month. And he really hopes people will relate to it on an intimate level. "Every artist's real goal is to have people have sex to your music," he told E! News.

He went on to give detail about other artists and music that had inspired him. According to him, it’s music with a “sexy” feel that got his mind ticking for his upcoming self-titled release.

"I feel like for me, I was inspired by people like Stevie Wonder, Prince and more modern stuff like The Weekend and James Blake and that vibe. A lot of that is sexy," he explained.

But he stopped short at revealing exactly which songs he hoped his fans would listen to in the bedroom. He made a few suggestions but added that he thinks everyone’s taste is different.

"I think it's up to the audience because everybody has a certain preference," Nick elaborated. "Maybe a song called Push, and this other one called Santa Barbara has nice vibes and a song called Closer that I did with Mike Posner. Those are a few and then they can decide what they want from there."

The star also opened up about his famed Flaunt shoot, which saw him grabbing his crotch with his pants around his knees and no shirt on. Apparently, it all happened naturally.

"With the photoshoot, I really went into it with an open mind,” he insisted. “I kind of rolled with it. I didn't think about how it would travel. It took off in a way that surprised me."
