Who’s not invited to the Royal wedding?

As the guests start arriving at Westminster Abbey, spare a thought for the dignitaries who didn’t crack an invite to the most priviledged wedding of the decade.

Former Prime Ministers Gordon Brown andTony Blair are probably wondering what they did wrong to be omitted from the biggest event in Britain in 30 years. American president Barack Obama and first lady Michelle also wasn’t invited. And neither was pres. Jacob Zuma.

The palace explained since the royal wedding is not a state affair, they didn’t have to invite heads of state to the wedding.

But the Swazi king, Msawti III, will be there and the Libyan dictator, Muammar Ghaddafi, was also invited and then disinvited after civil war broke out in his country. Controversially representatives of Zimbabwe and Iran will still be attending the wedding.

The royal family are not without their black sheep. Ask the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, who didn’t get an invite.

Unlike Snoop Dogg who was invited, but declined, saying he was having a braai today.
