Woman passes driving test in labour

A woman has passed her driving test while in labour.

Emma French got a score of 10 out of 16 in the exam despite her waters breaking hours before the test began - and she then drove herself to hospital to have her baby.

The warehouse worker - who gave birth to daughter Eva MacFarlane - kept quiet about her waters breaking because she was so determined to pass.

She told Metro: "I had failed my test in March and had to wait until August for another.

"I had to do it because I knew, if I didn't, I wouldn't have another chance until the baby was a little older. So, I didn't tell my instructor or the examiner what was happening and just got on with it."
