World's oldest cat turns 27

The oldest cat in the world has celebrated its 27th birthday.

Waddy, from Bedford in the UK,  has defied the odds to reach the incredible milestone ?  which is 125 cat years!

His owner, Ann Munday, admits it’s a "miracle" the feline even survived the first four weeks of his life, which is when she adopted him after he was thrown out by his previous owners.

"I've always had cats, but he is an absolute dream and he has been a fantastic companion since my husband died 13 years ago.

"He was a tiny and very poorly little thing so it's a miracle he has survived,” she told the Metro newspaper.
