Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, who tied the knot in Las Vegas earlier this month, wasted no time in jetting off on honeymoon.
No sooner had the ink on their marriage certificate dried than Ben (49) and Jennifer (53) were pictured celebrating on their lavish Paris honeymoon – with some of their kids in tow.
The blended family seemed to be enjoying the City of Lights, and were spotted on numerous outings together, including shopping trips, dinners in luxurious restaurants and a boat ride on the gorgeous Seine river.
But the jam-packed holiday itinerary and the jet lag seemed to catch up with Ben on the river trip. At one point the Oscar winner found the most secluded part of the boat, kicked back and caught some zeds in a chair.
Also aboard the Petrus III, a 21-metre teak yacht that was built in the 1950s, were Ben’s daughters, Violet (16) and Seraphina (13) ,whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner (50); as well as Jennifer’s twins, Max and Emme (14), whose dad is Jen's ex, Marc Anthony. Ben and his ex-wife also have a 10-year-old son, Samuel, who wasn’t seen on the trip.
The scenic boat trip wasn’t the only honeymoon activity that appeared to overwhelm the Batman actor.
Paparazzi pics which made their way online showed Ben getting emotional while dining at the Eiffel Tower’s exclusive La Girafe restaurant to celebrate Jennifer’s 53rd birthday on 24 July.
“It was just the two of them,” an eyewitness told the outlet. “They were seated in a private back corner surrounded by beautiful greenery and a balloon at the table.
“At one point Ben teared up and began to cry,” the source continued. “JLo was very loving and cradled his face. She held him and kissed his forehead stroking his cheek. Soon he was smiling again and laughing.”
The Oscar-winning actor and director touched on the beauty of having a second chance at love in his WSJ. magazine interview published in December.
“I am very lucky in my life in that I have benefited from second chances, and I am aware that other people don’t even get first chances,” he said.
“I’ve had second chances in my career. I’ve had second chances as a human being. Life is difficult, and we are always failing and hopefully learning from those failures. The one thing you really need to avail yourself of the opportunities provided from that growth is the second chance. I’ve definitely tried to take advantage of that. I haven’t always been successful, but in cases in which I have, they’ve turned out to be the defining aspects of my life.”
After Ben's emotional display, Bennifer’s Parisian tour de force was quickly back on track with the pair pictured strolling hand in hand outside the city’s iconic Louvre Museum just a day later.
