Billie Eilish fans all over the world freaked out on Monday after the 18-year-old pop sensation announced she’ll star in her first-ever documentary film, The World’s A Little Blurry.

“BILLIE EILISH: THE WORLD’S A LITTLE BLURRY” – IN THEATERS AND ON APPLE TV+ IN FEBRUARY 2021 [sic],” she captioned the video.

The five-time Grammy winner was reportedly paid eight figures through Interscope Records for the documentary about her life and the release of her debut album.

It’s set for release in cinemas and streaming on Apple TV+ in February 2021.

In a teaser for the doccie posted on her Instagram page, the My Future hit-maker gave fans a quick glimpse of herself as a toddler playing on the piano in the Los Angeles home, which she still shares with her parents, Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell.

The documentary was directed by award-winning filmmaker, RJ Cutler, whose other credits include The World According to Dick Cheney and The September Issue, the acclaimed doccie about Vogue magazine.

The songbird, who disliked being in the spotlight created by her whirlwind fame, said she’s tired of complaining about it because she knows she’s “very lucky” and is getting used to “being famous”.

Billie also revealed why she debuted her song, My Future, at the Democratic National Convention in August and urged her fans to vote for presidential nominee Joe Biden.

“The people that give me hope are the people that are really outspoken about injustices in the world and speak up for not just their own rights but everyone's rights,” the home-schooled vegan told NPR.

On top of the excitement of the upcoming doccie, Billie also has a jaw-dropping 12 Billboard Music Awards nominations, including top artist. The awards take place on 14 October.
