When Sami Sheen recently announced she was joining adult site OnlyFans, her famous parents, actors Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards, had very different responses.
Sami, who turned 18 in March, announced her new business venture on Instagram with a sultry swimsuit snap, urging her followers to “click the link in my bio if you wanna see more”.
She also promised to “upload new content two to three times a week” and encouraged her subscribers to chat with her privately.
OnlyFans, a subscription-based platform, allows creators to share and monetise their content, which can be explicit. The site became popular during the early months of the coronavirus pandemic when many sex workers joined to get paid more safely.
The teenager’s bio on the platform reads, “Hey, subscribe to see exclusive content.”
Charlie (56) expressed his disapproval almost immediately, calling out his ex-wife for their daughter's decision to join the adult platform.
"I don't condone this," he said in a statement. "But since I'm unable to prevent it, I urged her to keep it classy, creative and not sacrifice her integrity."
The 9/11 actor also alleged that the teen’s OnlyFans page was created while she's staying at Denise's house.
"She's 18 years old now and living with her mother," he added in the statement. "This didn't occur under my roof."
The Bold and the Beautiful actress hit back quickly, insisting that Sami's choices are her own.
"Sami is 18, and this decision wasn't based on whose house she lives in," Denise (51) said. "All I can do as a parent is guide her and trust her judgment, but she makes her own choices."
She even took to the Instagram comment section to rally behind her daughter.
"Sami, I'll always support you and always have your back. I love you," she wrote underneath a photo Sami shared advertising her OnlyFans presence.
In September 2021, Sami made headlines after posting a TikTok video in which she claimed she was “trapped in an abusive household” while living with her mother.
“One year ago today: trapped in an abusive household, hated myself, would go days without eating or sleeping, insanely depressed, hated school, etc . . .” Sami wrote at the time.
She also revealed she “dropped out of high school” and “moved out of the hell house” into her father’s home.
Reflecting on their complicated dynamic, Denise claimed Sami was being raised differently at the Two and a Half Men star's household.
"She lived with me all these years," Denise said. She later added, "There are certain rules and I enforce them. And [at Charlie's], there's different rules at that house and that's okay."
Back in March, the former reality TV star admitted that her relationship with her daughter wasn't at its best point and that Sami was still living with Charlie.
"It's very difficult," the Wild Things actress said on US radio station Sirius XM's show Jeff Lewis Live. "I know we'll get back to where we were eventually, but right now it's strained."
The mom and daughter seemingly mended their bond in May when Sami shared a few selfies of them together on her Instagram for Mother's Day.
Sami captioned her tribute, "I love you so much, Mom. You have no idea how grateful I am to have you in my life." At the time, Denise – who has another daughter, Lola (17), with Charlie and also adopted daughter Eloise (11) as a single mom – commented under the post to thank her for the "amazing" Mother's Day, adding, "It means a lot to me."
A well-placed source says Sami moved back in with her mom “within the past month.”
Meanwhile, the teen appears to be ignoring her father's disapproval about her new online career and has already started posting on the often X-rated site.
Her first image, which she posted on OnlyFans two days after announcing she'd joined, shows her from behind posing topless against a sunset backdrop while wearing nothing but a black thong.
She also took to Instagram to clap back at a troll who doubted that she has the right body type for OnlyFans. She responded with a photo of pizza and a reminder that “all bodies are beautiful”.
“Yes, because there’s no ‘body’ you need to have in order to do OF (OnlyFans),” Sami responded when a social media user asked, “Do you really think you have the body for OF? Lol.
“Only thing that matters is making sure you’re comfortable with what you’re posting and remembering that all bodies are beautiful," Sami replied.
