Screen great John Travolta recently shared the news that his 21-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta, will be making her debut on the big screen.
The 21-year-old, who was pictured in her movie costume on her dad’s Instagram account, is set to star as Alice in a movie called Get Lost, a modern remake of Alice in Wonderful.
“I’m a very proud dad!” the Grease superstar said in a post on Instagram.
In a video on the social media platform, Ella said she was in Budapest, Hungary, where she was engaged in filming and was very excited about it all.
“I am so honoured and happy to begin this adventure on such a wonderful project with such an amazing cast and crew. Stay tuned . . . ???? @get_lost_the_film #aliceinwonderland,” she said.
Get Lost, which is written and directed by Daniela Amavia, is a modern-day take on the 1951 Disney classic. Alice encounters a mysterious expat from London, William/Mad Hatter, while backpacking through Europe with her boyfriend to fulfil her mom’s last wish.
She goes on an adventure in Budapest which magically turns into Wonderland. In the end, Alice’s journey ends with a revelation and freedom.

Ella, whose mom Kelly Preston lost her two-year breast cancer battle last year, made her film debut in 2009. She played her real-life parents’ on-screen daughter Emily in family comedy Old Dogs.
This was followed by several reality show appearances, and she was seen again on the big screen 10 years later in The Poison Rose, which also starred her dad.
“He is the best mentor I could ask for and having him there was just a gift,” Ella said in an interview with Extra.
Father and daughter were most recently seen in the Scotts Miracle-Gro Super Bowl commercial where they dance together.
“It was magical, there’s no one else in the world I’d rather dance with than my daughter, Ella,” John said in an interview with Esquire Mexico. “It worked on so many levels. First, as a unique moment of entertainment that people loved seeing. Secondly, it allowed me to introduce my daughter to the world on a huge stage, showing off her talent and beauty.”

Ella has a growing fan base with more than 520 000 followers on Instagram and often shares pictures of her travels and her family including her brother Jett, who died after hitting his head on a bathtub following a seizure in 2009. The family was on vacation in the Bahamas at the time.
In 2019, Ella told People her parents had always been her role models. “If I have any questions I go to them for advice which is amazing,” she said. “I love that performing is sort of the family business.”
