It's been an emotional rollercoaster for BTS fans. First the devastation that they might split up, then the confusion about whether they are, then the elation that they're still going to be doing things together despite also working on solo projects.

The initial panic occurred after the band said they were taking a break to pursue solo careers.

But 24 hours later they were telling a different story. The South Korean band now insist the original statement got lost in translation – although a tanking share price may have played a role too, observers say.
