Britney Spears got the internet all abuzz again in a recent post in which she insisted she’s doing just fine, thank y’all very much.

The singer and mom-of-two, whose mental and physical wellbeing have long been a source of concern for fans, took to Instagram recently to reassure everyone all is well.

“There have been a lot of comments and a lot of people saying a lot of different things about me,” said Britney, who was dressed in a flouncy white cropped top and trousers. “But I just want to let you guys know that I am fine.

“I am the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. I’m sending all of you guys a lot of prayers, wishes and a lot of love.”

Although she didn’t refer to the #FreeBritney movement directly, which calls for her to be released from her father’s longstanding conservatorship, fans have been expressing their concern over her in recent months with many stating she does not look “normal” in many of her Instagram posts.

A recent post saw one fan pleading, “Have you seen the 5 billion comments asking for you to tell us you are ok?”

This video was no doubt an attempt by Britney (38) to set minds at ease – although not everyone is convinced the Baby One More Time singer is “fine”.

“No, your eyes say different hun [sic],” one worried fan wrote.

“Is it just me or does she look more and more beaten up each day?” another commented.

“You don’t seem the happiest,” yet another wrote.

A day later she posted another video of her dancing, captioning it, "Dancing is such a vulnerable thing . . . You say so much without saying a word … using your body to express the way you feel."

Last month, her dad Jamie Spears (68), who has himself been battling health issues, withdrew a petition to re-appoint attorney Andrew Wallet as co-conservator of his daughter’s estate.

“It is not in Britney’s best interests to be outside the conservatorship but there’s a lot of politics involved," Wallet told the UK’s Daily Mail. “Britney, to this day, does not have the capacity to sign documents and make decisions for herself.”

But many in the #FreeBritney movement, who earlier this year held a protest in Los Angeles, believe this is all a sham. She can make decisions for herself, they believe, and is being controlled in a bid to make money off her. Sources: people.com, Instagram
