Power couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck spared no expense when they recently bought their dream home. Last year the pair rekindled their romance nearly 20 years after they split and now, they’re uniting their families in their lavish $55-million (R800m) Bel-Air mansion.

The lovebirds have five kids between them and needed a home that would accommodate their big blended family. Their new mega mansion certainly has enough space for JLo’s twins, Emme and Maximilian (14), and Ben’s three children, Violet (16), Seraphina (13) and Samuel (10).

The three-storey home has 10 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, four kitchens, a movie theatre, wine cellar, family room, dining room, as well as an office and library. The sprawling grounds feature manicured lawns, surrounded by multiple entrances into the home. Floor-to-ceiling windows and doors open up to breath-taking terraces that overlook the property’s golf course, nestling forest trees, infinity pool, BBQ area and a spectacular view of Los Angeles.

The house was listed by Texas-based billionaire Todd Lemkin for $65m (R947m) but Bennifer managed to negotiate on the asking price as the couple fell in love with the property.

A source close to the couple says they want their kids to grow up together. “Ben and Jen are spending almost every night together when they’re not working, they plan on moving in together very soon,” the insider says.

“As far as Jen sees it, she and Ben have their whole lives to set things up in a comfortable way. She intends to be an involved stepmom who’s there for Ben in that area, plus she’ll want him to make the same effort with her kids.”

Here’s a gallery of their magnificent property.
