Miley Cyrus won’t be walking down the aisle anytime soon if her latest comments are anything to go by.
When a fan recently proposed to his boyfriend on stage during her show at Lollapalooza Brazil, she gave the audience a very revealing insight into her short-lived marriage.
“Yasss!" she screamed to the happy couple once the proposal had been accepted. "Congratulations! Honey, I hope your marriage goes better than mine. Mine was a f***** disaster.”
The Wrecking Ball star was of course referring to her marriage to Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth. The pair, who'd dated on and off for 10 years, got married in December 2018 and separated just eight months later, citing irreconcilable differences.

In an interview with radio host Howard Stern in 2020, Miley revealed they may have never gotten married if they hadn't lost their home in the California fires of 2018.
“We were together since (I was) 16,” Cyrus said. “Our house burned down. We'd been like, engaged – I don't know if we really ever thought we were actually going to get married. But when we lost our house in Malibu – which, if you listen to my voice pre- and post-fire, they’re very different, so that trauma really affected my voice.
"And I was actually in South Africa, so I couldn’t come home, and like, my animals were tied to a post at the beach. I lost everything. And so, in trying to put that back together, instead of going, ‘Oh, nature kind of did something I couldn’t do for myself; it forced me to let go,’ I ran toward the fire.
“Which isn't abnormal. A lot of animals do this and end up dying, like deer run into the forest. You’re attracted to that heat and me being an intense person and not wanting to sit with it, and not wanting to go, you know, ‘What could be purposeful about this?’ I just clung to what I had left of that house, which was me and him.”
There was a lot of conflict in their marriage, she added.

“When I come home, I want to be anchored by someone. I don't get off on drama or fighting.”
After Liam filed for divorce in August 2019, there was speculation that Miley had been unfaithful – an allegation the former Hannah Montana star has repeatedly denied.
“I can admit to a lot of things, but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I had been together for a decade. I’ve said it before and it remains true: I love Liam and always will.”
The two have since moved on with their separate lives, with Liam (32) dating model and fellow Aussie Gabriella Brooks, while Miley (29) is with drummer Maxx Morando.
