She stands just 1,5m high once she’s kicked off her stilettos, a mere slip of a thing next to her towering 1,87-m tall husband. Even her kids loom over her on the red carpet.

But what she lacks in stature, Jada Pinkett Smith (50) makes up for in attitude. Will Smith might have literally leapt to her defence at the Oscars when Chris Rock made that comment about her lack of hair but there’s still heated debate about whether she really needed defending.

As the fallout heaved in the days following the slap Will (53) delivered to Chris’ cheek, the world was divided into two camps.
