Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez leads the cast of Netflix’s sci-fi thriller Awake, which is set in a world that descended into chaos after an electromagnetic wave from a solar flare caused all electronics to stop working and people can’t sleep.
Gina (36), who also produced the film, plays Jill, an ex-soldier and widow who goes on the run with her kids when she learns that her daughter (Ariana Greenblatt) may be the key to a cure.
