She got off to a late start in Hollywood, bursting onto the scene in her mid-thirties in an industry that celebrates youth. But Jessica Chastain has certainly made up for lost time.

The actress is being tipped as the favourite to win the best actress Oscar after earning her first Screen Actors Guild Award for her role in The Eyes of Tammy Faye.

The biopic tells the story of US televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker, who became known around the world for her outlandish outfits and over-the-top makeup. Together with her husband Jim Bakker, played by Andrew Garfield, Tammy started from humble beginnings in the 1970s to launch one of the world’s largest religious broadcast networks.
