Let’s hope he’s not a bad guy.

Earlier this week, the uber-private Billie Eilish stepped out with her rumoured new bae.

The Therefore I Am singer was seen grabbing coffee with actor Matthew Tyler Vorce and her beloved pit bull, Shark, in California.

The pair have yet to confirm their budding romance, but Billie did seem to cosy up to him, at one point Matthew put his arm around the Grammy winner as she rested her head on his shoulder.

So who is this mystery man?

According to Matthew’s IMDb page, he has had recent roles in films such as Mother, May I Sleep with Danger? and Dark Hours: Typee. His next project is The Curse of Frank Sinatra, a short film that is currently in pre-production.

His age is unclear, although the photo agency that captured their PDA reports he's 29.

In 2017, he studied improv at The Groundlings Theatre & School in Los Angeles, where Billie’s mother, Maggie Baird, taught from 1994 to 2000.

On his Instagram account – which he set to private immediately after stepping out with the star – he describes himself as "Actor. Writer. Degenerate".

He has 7 610 followers and Billie is notably not among them, although she doesn't follow anyone on IG. He does follow Billie, her mother and brother, Finneas O'Connell, who both also follow him.

Billie has largely kept her personal life private, but in her recently released doccie Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, she revealed that she had a secret relationship with 24-year-old rapper Brandon Q Adams that ended in 2019.

In the revealing doccie, fans got to see the couple holding hands while ice-skating at her 17th-birthday party and saying “I love you” on the phone.

However, as the documentary carries on, she and Q grow apart and ultimately split. "I just wasn't happy," she tells the cameras, adding that while she still loves Q, they didn't want the same things and she was tired of trying to "fix" him.

"I don't think you should be in a relationship super-excited about things that the other person couldn't care less about . . . There was just a lack of effort, I think. I was like, 'Dude, you don't even have enough love to love yourself, you can't love me. And you don't’.”

The Ocean Eyes singer’s split from Q clearly left its mark, as she sounded quite down on love when she sat down with GQ magazine a year later.

During the revealing interview, the 18-year-old explained that she has “huge” issues with her body, which she believes is partly fuelled by the way she was treated by her exes.

"My past boyfriends never made me feel desired. None of them. And it’s a big thing in my life that I feel I have never been physically desired by somebody," she explained.

"I’ve had my heart broken, sure. People have done some terrible s**t to me."

The musician went on to explain that this is part of the reason she wears predominantly loose-fitting clothing.

"I dress as I don't like to think of you guys – I mean anyone, everyone, judging it, or the size of it," she said. "But that doesn't mean that I won't wake up one day and decide to wear a tank top, which I have done before."

But fans waiting for more information on her current romance probably shouldn’t hold their breaths, as Billie has sworn to keep her love life out of the limelight.

“I definitely want to keep [relationships] private,” she told British talk-show host Roman Kemp.

“I've had relationships and kept them private, and even the ones that I've had; with the tiny amount that I've let the world see, I regret. I think about the people that have made their relationships public, and then they break up, and it's like ‘What if it goes bad?’”
