Reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian and musician Travis Barker are getting married but not everyone is happy for the newly engaged couple.
Travis (45) popped the question over the weekend at a beachside hotel in Montecito, California.
Kourtney’s sisters Kim Kardashian West (40) and Khloé Kardashian (37) and their mom, Kris Jenner (65), were on hand to surprise the couple after the proposal, while dozens of other celebrities later took to social media to congratulate the happy pair.
But as the 42-year-old prepares to walk down the aisle for the first time it seems not everyone is going gaga over her happy news.
Travis’ second ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, seemingly responded to the engagement with an Instagram post that hinted she wasn’t pleased and would be taking a break from social media.
“Temporarily closed for spiritual maintenance,” the former Miss USA wrote.
The 46-year-old also shared a quote attributed to late rapper Tupac Shakur, which read, “Before you ask why someone hates you, ask yourself why you give a f**k.”
Shanna and the Blink-182 drummer were married from 2004 to 2008 and they have a son, Landon (18), and a daughter, Alabama (15). His first marriage was to Melissa Kennedy (now 39), whom he divorced in 2002 after nine months together.
Shanna has rarely held back about her ex’s new romance. In an interview with People magazine in May, the former Playboy Playmate described herself as “very much over” her ex and described his new PDA-filled relationship as weird.
She also accused Travis of having an affair with Kim in the early 2000s.
“I divorced my ex because I saw them – I caught them having an affair,” she told Us Weekly magazine.
Kim and Travis reportedly met when she was working as Paris Hilton’s assistant before she skyrocketed to fame herself. While Travis has since admitted that he was attracted to Kim, he said he never touched her.
Shanna isn’t the only ex in the “Kravis” equation who’s reportedly less-than-thrilled about the engagement.
Scott Disick (38) – Kourtney’s ex and the father of her three children, Mason (11), Penelope (9) and Reign (6) – is said to be beside himself over the news.
A close pal of the Flip It like Disick star says Scott “knew it was coming”, as the Kardashian-Jenner family had “mentioned it to him before”, but that did little to soften the blow.
The reality TV star is “still really sad about it and is feeling low”.
Scott and Kourtney’s on-again, off-again relationship began in 2006. They were together for about 10 years but never made it official.
Now Scott “can’t speak to Kourtney” and is avoiding the newly engaged couple, the friend says.
“He’ll always be a part of the Kardashian family, but it’s hard for him to be around Kourtney and Travis.”
Scott’s apparent disapproval of the Poosh founder’s new romance was evident when he reportedly sent a direct message on Instagram to another one of Kourtney’s exes, model Younes Bendjima (28), in late August, commenting on paparazzi pictures of her and Travis packing on the PDA.
Younes then shared a photo of the message in which Scott apparently wrote, “Yo, is this chick okay? Bro, like, what’s this? In the middle of Italy?”
“Scott Disick is still bitter about Kourtney and Travis’ relationship,” another source claims. “He wants her to be happy, but behind closed doors he’ll always have regrets about their relationship and why it didn’t work out.
“He’s bitter because he’s never seen Kourtney this serious about someone.”
