Carter Reum, the millionaire venture capitalist who recently tied the knot with Paris Hilton, has a nine-year-daughter named Evie who he supports financially but apparently has met only once.
Evie’s mom is Laura Bellizzi, a reality show star who appeared on the VH-1 show Secrets of Aspen who once briefly dated actor Mel Gibson.
Paris (40) reportedly knew about his daughter before they wed last week in the multi-day wedding celebrations, which will be showcased in a show called Paris in Love.
“Many people close to them have been nervous to ask more about the situation, especially with the timing of the news coming out,” a source says. The revelation dropped shortly after the lavish nuptials.
“The people who this story matters to have known about it for 10 years," his spokesperson says. “Carter supports this child. While he does not have a traditional father-daughter relationship with her, he has provided for her since she was born, and will continue to do so.”
According to a source, the girl was “triggered” by all the publicity surrounding her father’s high-profile wedding and wrote Carter a letter asking for a relationship.
“She also saw the articles of Paris and Carter talking about starting a family. She felt tremendous rejection and felt left out. She wants to have a relationship with him,” a source told Page Six.
In the letter she reportedly wrote, “If you choose to respond to me I will be so happy.”
It’s not clear at this stage if Carter (40), who is currently on honeymoon with his new wife, has responded.

Meanwhile, his ex is only too happy to welcome Paris into her daughter’s life. “The more people who proactively love Evie, the better,” she told Page Six.
According to an insider, Evie is “at that age where self-identity is so important and children want to know who they are and where they come from.”
Paris and Carter wed at Paris’ late grandfather’s Bel Air estate on 11 November in a star-studded bash attended by 200 fellow celebrities and loved ones. After-party festivities included a party at the Santa Monica pier, which the newlyweds had booked out for their guests.
