It’s a goal for Rebel Wilson and her Year of Health – with weeks to spare, the actress (40) has hit her target weight of 75kg.
Rebel, who’s been sharing her Year of Health with fans on Instagram, posted body transformation snaps on Instagram in August, writing, “Thanks for all the love so far on my 'Year of Health' journey – when I was reaching for the candies last night after dinner I thought to myself 'hmmmm . . . better not' and had a bottle of water instead.”
In that post the Pitch Perfect star shared that she was tantalisingly close to her goal weight.
“8kgs to go until I hit my goal - hopefully, I can do it by the end of the year,” – and she’s done it, posting a snap of her scale reading “74,6kg”.
“Hit my goal with one month to spare!” she wrote. “Even though it’s not about a weight number, it’s about being healthy, I needed a tangible measurement to have as a goal and that was 75kg.”
On Instagram Live this week Rebel spoke for an hour about her decision to focus on her health this year, turning 40 and freezing her eggs.
“I was thinking about fertility and having good quality eggs in the bank, so I was like, 'OK, I'm going to do this, I'm going to get healthy’,” she shared.
“Apart from turning 40 and thinking I wasn't maybe going to work much this year, psychic-ly, I knew I'd have a bit more time and I was also freezing my eggs. As all good career women out there should know, if that's something that interests you, it's a pretty good time to do it. Getting to your 40s is kind of even leaving it a little too late. It's better to do it a bit earlier if you can.”
The comedian also opened up about her relationship with boyfriend Jacob Busch.
"Someone is asking me, 'Is the hot guy on your Instagram your boyfriend?' Yes, yes, that is correct," she said, grinning.
"But he's a very private person, so I don't like to give away too much in that department. But I will say we dated before I started any of this health journey as well as now. Goes to show you, ladies, you don't have to be a certain size to get a boyfriend."
