News broke this week that Chelsy Davy, Prince Harry’s former girlfriend, had given birth in January to a mystery man’s baby. Well, the identity of Chelsy’s man is a secret no more. He is Sam Cutmore-Scott (37) and he went to the same school as Harry.
One of Chelsy’s friends revealed to the Daily Mail that Sam, who was a year ahead of Harry at Eton College, is the father of her son, whom the couple have named Leo. Both the romance and the pregnancy were kept under wraps.
In 2020, Chelsy told British magazine Tatler that she was in a relationship.
“Yes, there is someone, and I am quite taken by this one, but it’s very new and I don’t want to say too much,” she said.
The former lawyer might have been talking about Sam, a hotelier. His parents run Bijou Collection, which owns hospitality and wedding properties in the UK and France. The properties include a luxury boutique hotel, a mansion, a manor, a chateau and a country house. Sam works for the firm as the managing director.
His younger brother is Jack Cutmore-Scott (34), who is best known for starring in Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-winning thriller Tenet and the TV series Deception.
It’s believed the couple and Leo live in Chiswick, West London. Chelsy (36) hates the spotlight, which is probably why she kept her pregnancy and her relationship secret. It’s also the reason she and Harry split up.

Chelsy was born in Zimbabwe and met Harry in Cape Town in 2004 while he was on a gap year. They dated on and off from 2004 to 2011.
Things seemed to be getting serious at one point. After completing a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Cape Town in 2006, Chelsy went on to study for a law degree in Leeds, England, just so she could be closer to Harry. She met Queen Elizabeth (95) and was invited to Prince Charles’ 60th birthday party.
They ended their relationship in 2011 because the media attention and the pressure of dating a royal became too much for Chelsy, who “was trying to be a normal kid”.
“It was so full-on: crazy and scary and uncomfortable. I found it very difficult when it was bad. I couldn’t cope,” she told The Times in 2017.
She has since been working in the jewellery and luxury travel business. She was also invited to Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018 and, in the same year, attended the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.
