The Material Girl knows a thing or two about pushing boundaries with fashion — and she's clearly been teaching them to her 16-year-old son, David Banda.
The mother-son duo were dressed to the nines when they attended the World Lightweight Championship between boxers Gervonta Davis and Rolando Romero at New York City's Barclays Centre over the weekend.
David looked sensational in an eye-catching red T-shirt dress from the highly-anticipated Adidas x Gucci collection.
British actress Jodie Turner-Smith (35) previously rocked the same stylish frock when she attended a Met Gala afterparty with her husband Joshua Jackson last month.
David accessorized the dress with a black sneakers, a selection of shimmering chains, trainers and gold-rimmed sunglasses as he walked hand-in-hand with his 63-year-old mother.
The Material Girl later posted some fun pictures from their "family fight night," as she referred to it on Instagram.
In the first, the pair are staring playfully at the camera as she shows off her all-black look accessorised with several cross necklaces and sunglasses.
The next photo shows the pair walking and holding hands, and the third is a selfie from their seats at the fight.
In another snapshot, David pulled up the dress to reveal his muscular legs while the Medellín singer posed with a briefcase.
The internet was quick to lavish praise on David's daring look, with one Twitter user branding him "the most Iconic Ciccone kid".
"So ya’ll weren’t going to tell me that David Banda is a whole bad bitch? Whew, what a look," wrote another fan.
David is no stranger to making creative fashion choices.
In May last year, he was captured on video, via Madge’s Instagram, waltzing around their home in a floor-length off-white silk dress, bold black sunglasses and sneakers.
“Confidence is everything . . .????” his proud mom captioned the post, in which David, the first child she adopted from Malawi, can be seen wearing the design by Mae Couture.
A few months later he made waves again when his mother shared a series of photos of him posing in a cheerleading uniform.
He paired the outfit with a black choker, silver chains, fishnet gloves and black leggings. Makeup and feathered additions to his hair rounded out his look.
The Like a Virgin singer has two biological children, Lourdes (25) and Rocco (21), and adopted David, Mercy (16), and nine-year-old twins Estere and Stella from Malawi in 2006, 2007 and 2017 respectively.
Madonna and ex-husband Guy Ritchie adopted David in 2006, when he was just 13 months old. After seeing him sick with pneumonia at an orphanage in Malawi that she’d help fund, the couple got the ball rolling with his adoption.
The mom of six told Vogue UK how much she feels she has in common with David.
“What he has more than anything is focus and determination, I’m pretty sure he got it from me,” she said. “I feel like he gets me – he has more of my DNA than any of my children so far.”
The Vogue hitmaker has always been passionate about supporting her youngest son's endeavours.
The superstar uprooted her family and relocated to Portugal in 2017 so that David, a talented football player, could fulfil his dream of playing professionally.
He was enrolled and trained at the Benfica youth academy and the family moved into the stunning Quinta do Relógio, a historic $6 million (R84m) estate located in Sintra, 30km outside of the capital of Lisbon.
The family are believed to have since relocated sunny California, where David attends the prestigious Los Angeles Country High School for the Arts.
When he turned 16 in September, Madonna marked the special occasion by posting a series of photos on Instagram of her son over the years.
“I cannot believe you have grown into This Young Man! This Artist. This Athlete. This Articulate and Charismatic Human. Who knew when i met you at Home of Hope Orphanage in Malawi, drinking coke out of a baby bottle and wearing no diaper that you would become this force of nature?” she wrote.
