Megan Thee Stallion will soon be able to add the title of university graduate to her list of accolades.
The Texan-born rapper (26) recently announced she will receive her undergraduate degree in health administration from the Texas Southern University later this year.
Born Megan Pete, the star has made no secret of her part-time studies while conquering the charts with her memorable tunes and knee-defying choreography.
Her excitement was palpable as she shared the news of her upcoming graduation with her followers on Instagram.
Posting a picture of her graduation cap, with her trademark phrase, ‘Real Hot Girl Sh*t’, she wrote; “2021 finna graduate collegeeee, taking my graduation pics today. I can't wait for y'all to see."

After the graduation, she plans to throw a mega graduation party.
“You fought through the procrastination. You fought through crazy professors. You made it home the next day from the party and still went to class. You know what I'm saying?"
Her dedication to her education was instilled in her by the matriarchs in her family; her mother and great-grandmother.
“Before my mom passed, she really would be on my butt about getting my degree.
“My great-grandmother was always asking, “You are going to get them papers?”
Sadly, neither women will get to see her graduate as they died in March 2019. Megan's mom, Holly Thomas, died of a brain tumour and her great-gran died just two weeks later.

While her rap career has reached heights she never imagined, Megan says her love for her family is what pushed her to achieve her academic goals.
For Megan, rap and academics go hand in hand and she says they'll help her achieve her goals.
She dreams of opening assisted-living facilities for the elderly in Houston, her hometown.
“I never had a plan B; I always had two plan As. I knew I wanted to go to school. And I knew I wanted to pursue music,” she says.
“I really wanted to be an administrator at a hospital, but I knew I still wanted to be Megan Thee Stallion. I was like, ‘What can I do?’
“I was like, ‘You know what, I’m going to open an assisted living facility and use the money I make from rapping to open it’.”
So why has she chosen to focus on healthcare? The answer lies close to home.
“I watched my grandmother, who was almost 70, take care of my great-grandmother, who was 87. Just watching that made me want to create a facility for people who are older to go and have somebody help them with their end-of-life care.
“It will be a weight lifted off family members if they had somewhere for their grandparents to go and be comfortable.
I want to give back,” says Megan.
