At 56, Elle “The Body” Macpherson is still in crazy great shape – and she’s sharing her secrets.
The Australian supermodel showed off her toned tummy on her Instagram stories recently and revealed her six-pack is the result of “immediate liposculpture”, performed by massage therapist Sheila Perez, to shape and sculpt the body.
Technically the treatment is known as a lymphatic drainage massage, and Elle says it’s a “great way to combat plane travel and sluggish lymph and digestion”.
She posted before-and-after pics of her transformed tummy and captioned the after pic: “Insane ??”.
Perez says on her website the treatment “works like an immediate manual liposculpture, with effective results that can been seen in the very first session”.
She claims to be the only person in the world offering this non-invasive sculpting treatment.

Liposculpture, she says, is “the most advanced lymphatic drainage massage that provides a real body change, shaping with measurements reduction and cellulite elimination”.
According to Healthline.com, liposculpture is a surgical procedure that is used to give you more muscle tone and shapeliness. “It treats little pockets of fat, unlike liposuction which covers larger areas. Instead of just removing fat, liposculpture also moves it around for a desired shape. It can be particularly useful in areas that don’t respond to diet and exercise.”
Perez says the benefits include a reduction in body measurements, reduced “or even no” cellulite, toxin drainage and an improvement of overall wellness and increased self-esteem.

Elle says she used to rely on genetics to stay slim during her 20s and 30s, and that she never had a proper health and fitness regimen. But that has changed.
“It gets to a point where what you’ve done your whole life doesn’t work anymore,” she says in her On Call podcast for her superfood supplements brand, WelleCo.
The former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model says she listens to her body.
“Today I believe beauty comes from the inside and I’ve definitely become more mindful in that sense – meditation has become a huge part of my day-to-day life. Now I’m in my 50s, I don’t overwork in the gym. I now listen to what my body needs. I do an hour of exercise I really enjoy every day. It might be paddleboarding, hiking or even water-skiing.”
Her wellness routine is about much more than what she does in the gym. The mom of two suggests drinking lots of water and getting at least seven hours of sleep a night.
She recently returned from a retreat in Arizona, where she had gone to “heal and realign herself”, after rumours she had broken up with her boyfriend, disgraced former doctor Andrew Wakefield – infamous for spreading false information about the efficacy of vaccines.
The couple have been together since 2017, but they haven’t been spotted together since they attended an anti-vaccine event in North Carolina in the US in October. Their social media activity adds to the suspicion they are living separate lives.
A selfie of Elle in the review mirror of her car is captioned, “No looking back… Arizona has always been a place of healing for me. A time to reset, rediscover, repose, realign with my authentic truth and values – I'm so deeply grateful for Mother Nature and all her beauty and her healing power.”
