The star took Star Wars fans 40 years down memory lane with a recent throwback pic.
The 69-year-old shared a black-and-white behind-the-scenes photo from the set of 1977’s Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, showing him holding hands with Harrison Ford.
It was nothing romantic and all work-related, he explained on the Instagram post.
“It was Harrison's idea to hold hands so our movements would be consistent & Carrie's eye line would match up,” he wrote, referring to late co-star Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia.
“Other than this moment, we hardly ever held hands,” he quipped along with the hashtag #TrueStory.
The snap was seemingly taken during rehearsals for one of the movie's final scenes when Mark’s character, Luke Skywalker, and Harrison’s Han Solo were receiving medals after the Battle of Yavin from Leia.
The 1977 movie went on to become the highest-grossing movie for the next few years and turned both actors into household names.
Mark, Harrison and Carrie all starred in the 1980 sequel The Empire Strikes Back and the final film of the trilogy, 1983's Return of the Jedi.
While neither Mark nor Harrison returned for the prequel trilogy, they both reprised their iconic roles in 2015's The Force Awakens.
Mark's Luke also returned for 2017's The Last Jedi and 2019's The Rise of Skywalker.
Most recently he’s appeared in the Star Wars-inspired TV series The Mandalorian as Luke Skywalker and his next project is the animated TV series Masters of the Universe: Revelation where he’ll voice the character of Skeletor.
Meanwhile, Harrison (78) is set to reprise another iconic role of his: Indiana Jones.
He is set to step back into the archaeological adventurer’s shoes in the fifth and final instalment of the hit franchise, due for release in July 2022.
