Elon Musk is no stranger to the spotlight – and it looks like his adorable son is following in his footsteps.
The 50-year-old South African-born billionaire recently delivered a virtual presentation at the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine about his Starship spacecraft programme.
Although Elon’s speech captivated the audience, it was his son, X Æ A-Xii, also known as Little X, who was the real star of the show.
While the SpaceX founder was explaining the latest developments around his reusable spacecraft, the 18-month-old, who was sitting on his father’s lap, said "hi, hi, hi" to the camera while babbling and making waving movements with his arm.
The toddler got excited as he pointed at the introductory video, which was playing in the background.
“Car, car,” X Æ A-Xii said while a rocket appeared on the screen.
“Rocket, but it’s a rocket on a big car,” Elon corrected the little boy.
The toddler was then swooped up by someone so that Elon could focus on giving his important speech.
The SpaceX entrepreneur and Canadian singer, Grimes, welcomed their son in May 2020, shocking the world when they announced his rather unique name.
“First of all, my partner is the one who, mostly, actually came up with the name," Elon said at the time. “She's great at names.
“I mean, it's just X, the letter X. And then, the AE is pronounced 'Ash.' Then, A-12 is my contribution."
The A-12 part of the name pays homage to the Lockheed Archangel-12, the plane that preceded his favorite aircraft: the SR-17.
“Archangel 12, the precursor to the SR-71, is the coolest plane ever,” he says.

The pair later tweaked baby Musk’s name to X Æ A-Xii to conform to Californian law, which forbids the inclusion of numbers in a legal name.
“Roman numerals. Looks better tbh [to be honest],” Grimes said of the name change.
Earlier this year Elon opened about his role – or lack thereof – as a parent in the infant stage.
“Babies are just eating and pooping machines, you know? Right now, there’s not much I can do,” he said.
“Grimes has a much bigger role than me right now. When the kid gets older, there will be more of a role for me.”

In September, the couple announced they were splitting up after three years of dating.
But the billionaire claims the break-up had nothing to do with him not changing diapers.
“It's mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA,” he said.
Despite their split, he says the pair are comitted to co-parenting the little one.
“We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently, and are on great terms."
