The former boy band member is loving being a first-time dad.
“Honestly, it's amazing,” said Zayn who welcomed his first child, Khai, with model Gigi Hadid six months ago.

“A lot of people I was speaking to, obviously before she was born and stuff, were like, ‘It’s a big adjustment, and it's going to be a massive change and stuff’,” he told iHeartRadio.
“But honestly, she's an amazing baby. It's been really easy for me and Gigi to kind of just ease into it, I guess. She kind of made it easy for us. She sleeps really well, she loves her milk.”
Like many first-time dads a lot of his time is now spent “feeding and changing diapers at the minute”.
But he loves it. “It's wicked. I'm enjoying it, for sure.

“There's a lot of things that are definitely surprising. I didn't expect to be quite so into it,” he shared.
“I was always into myself, doing my own thing, writing, recording, making music. I was very focused on my career. I had time for my relationship and stuff too, but it was still solely about me.”
Many parents struggle to adjust to the new responsibilities of a newborn, but Zayn says the transition hasn’t been too tough.
“The fact that she's been so easy to just adjust to has been surprising to me because I just love spending my days with her, hanging out with her; just doing really relaxing, chill stuff,” he said.
The father and daughter spend time together “watching kid shows on TV, on Netflix, learning nursery rhymes, just rolling around with her and just singing to her”.
“It's a really different pace of life, but it's been really easy to adjust to, for sure. I think that's the most surprising thing.”
Gigi (25) is “a wicked mom,” 28-year-old Zayn said. “She’s good. Obviously, she's really a big part of everything, and she's doing well.”
The supermodel opened up about her 14-hour labour in an interview with Vogue. She gave birth to Khai at her family’s farm, in rural Pennsylvania.
“When you see someone do that, you look at them a bit differently. I probably looked crazy, actually,” Gigi recalled of her homebirth, which Zayn was there to experience and support her through.
“I was an animal woman. It didn’t even click that she was out,” she recalled.
Then she saw Zayn holding her. “I was so exhausted, and I looked up and he’s holding her. It was so cute.”
And since Gigi had decided to go the homebirth route without painkillers, she had to prepare herself mentally.
“I had to dig deep. I knew it was going to be the craziest pain in my life, but you have to surrender to it and be like, ‘This is what it is’.”
Despite returning to work after two months of maternity leave, Gigi described motherhood as a “job like no other.”
The couple, who’ve been together since 2015, are still living at the farm.
They want to keep their baby out of the public eye as
much as possible, an insider said.
“Gigi wants the most privacy for their baby and wants to be able to raise her privately. They feel peaceful staying at the farm, for now.”
They have not yet decided where they will be settling permanently but they are enjoying the countryside and the chilled pace.
