Beach views, good company and mouthwatering dishes prepared by a private chef – this was the order of the day when former Miss South Africa Tansey Coetzee celebrated her 36th birthday in style at the swanky Café La Plage in Durban recently.

The cherry on top was a flamingo-inspired cake which symbolised several things for Tansey, who took the Miss SA crown in 2007.

“I googled what flamingos symbolise – femininity and innocence, family and relationships,” she tells us.
