After months of singlehood, it seems the two have found their way back to each other.
When South Africa went into hard lockdown in late March, there was much to worry and complain about and the outlook was bleak. But at least fans of The Bachelor SA had one weekly highlight to look forward to in the months that followed.
Not only did handsome bachelor Marc Buckner (37) find love with beautiful blonde Marisia van Wyk (25) in the last episode of the show, which was broadcast in May, it was later revealed the couple had spent lockdown together in their own little love nest in Marc’s Sea Point apartment in Cape Town.
They’d also been on a romantic Thai holiday and spent New Year on an exotic beach. The age difference of 12 years seemingly didn’t matter.
“Lockdown helped us,” Marc told the media at the time. “We’re spending a lot of time together and we’ve learned a lot about each other. Now we know we can live together and that we’re a good match.”
speech therapist, spoke about how lockdown gave her insight into the real Marc,
a model and businessman. “I see how he does things with his heart and soul,”
But as most of us know, the path of love can be a rocky one, with ups and downs. Suddenly, the couple’s Instagram pics of their outings together stopped, leaving fans wondering what was happening.
Then, in July, Marisia confirmed on Instagram that they’d broken up. She
removed the post shortly after and announced she’d be taking a break from
social media, though she later returned to Instagram.
At the time, Marc said he didn’t know about her post as Marisia had blocked him on social media.
Now, it seems the couple have reconciled. The past week several people
have contacted YOU to say they often see the Marc and Marisia together on the
Sea Point promenade.
When asked, Marc confirmed that they’ve reconciled but he didn’t want to divulge any more than that. Marisia has asked that her privacy be respected and declined to be interviewed.
She later told YOU she and Marc are just friends.
