Despite the lockdown blues due to the global pandemic, we’ve heard heartwarming news from some of 2020’s celebrity first-time dads welcoming their bundles of joy.

We’ve also seen them spending extra time with their loved ones – and they’ve captured some of those precious moments on social media.

Here’s a look at some adorable moments these dads have shared with their little ones.

Marvin Orie

Springbok player Marvin Orie (27) excitedly announced in May that he and his partner, Petrushce, welcomed a baby boy into the world. The proud dad uploaded an image of him in scrubs holding his newborn son.

“Welcome to the world my boy! Loxton Sydney Orie,” Marvin wrote on Instagram.

Brian Chaplin

Brian Chaplin’s son, Rome, was also born in May this year. Upon discovering that he was going to be dad, Brian started equipping himself with all he can to prepare for his son’s arrival.

The 30-year-old Locnville member now gets to spend time with the little one, applying all the skills and knowledge he’s learned.

“I’m picking up a lot of skills, trying to learn a lot of new things,” Brian told YOU. “I’m doing a little bit of a business course, trying to keep the brain as active as possible.”

Brenden Praise

Former idols contestant Brenden Praise and his wife YouTube sensation Mpoomy Ledwaba, welcomed their second child together. The singer took to Instagram to post his baby’s cute tiny hand and penned an open letter of gratitude.

“God blessed us with a happy, loving and healthy baby boy. Can’t express enough the joy we feel and how grateful we are. Sincerely, Father of two,” he wrote on Instagram.

Itumeleng Khune

Soccer star Itumeleng Khune (33) welcomed his daughter, Amoh, earlier this year with wife Sphelele Makhunga.

When this Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper isn’t adorably cradling his baby girl for feeding time he’s savouring every moment with his “little princess”.

Kevin Anderson

South African tennis player, Kevin Anderson shared his first swimming experience with his daughter Keira.

“Once the beaches are safely reopened I can’t wait to introduce her to one of my favourite places on Earth. But for now, we enjoy nature from home,” the 34-year-old dad wrote on social media.
