David Beckham has praised his royal friend, Prince Harry.
The soccer star recently said he was proud of the 35-year-old for deciding to step back from his senior royal duties to move to Canada with Meghan and their nine-month-old son, Archie, People reports.
During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 44-year-old revealed he hadn’t discussed Harry’s decision with him yet, but he supports his transition into becoming a family man.
"I haven't spoken to Harry about him moving. We speak as friends and that’s the most important thing for me," David explained.
"I think he’s enjoying being a young father for the first time, and that’s what we always spoke about. When you’re a parent it changes everything for you."
The father-of-four said it was important for Prince Harry to be happy, according to Fox News.
"We love him and he’s an amazing person – and that’s the most important thing – but I’m proud to see him growing up as an individual and being that person every father wants to be.
"Every father wants to be loving to their children and that’s what I see with him."
David, who’s married to fashion mogul, Victoria, further said he still tries to impress his kids. For example, he’s ventured into developing a new Major League Soccer team in Florida in the US.
"It’s what we want to create for our children. We want our children to turn around in 10, 15, 20 years and say, 'Our dads built this,'" he said.
