It has been almost two years since Demi Lovato was hospitalised for an overdose and her life has since changed dramatically.
In January, Selena took to Instagram to congratulate the Sober songstress on her emotional performance during the Grammy Awards.
“I wish there were words to describe how beautiful, inspirational and DESERVED this moment was. Demi, I’m so happy for you. Thank you for your courage and bravery,” Selena wrote.
During a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the 27-year-old got candid about her friendship with the Lose You to Love Me songstress and why she didn’t respond to her Instagram story.
“When you grow up with somebody, you’re always going to have love for them. But I’m not friends with her, so [the Instagram post] felt …,” Demi said. “I’ll always have love for her, and I wish everybody nothing but the best.”
But those aren’t the only major changes the former Disney star has made.
Demi also revealed that she’s no longer in contact with the Jonas Brothers, who she has known since their Camp Rock Disney days.
Her ex Valderrama, who recently got engaged, is no longer part of her life.
“I’m really happy for him and I wish him nothing but the best, but we’re not in each other’s lives, haven’t spoken in a long time,” Demi revealed.
One person Demi is still close to from her early days of stardom is Miley Cyrus, CNN reports.
“She’s awesome, and I love her to death and always will, always have,” Demi said.
“But I think she’s kind of the only one from that era that I still stay in touch with.”
