Cape Town - Chris Pratt’s use of a plastic water bottle got him a tongue lashing on Instagram by none other than Aquaman himself.

According to People, Pratt was criticised by Jason Momoa for posing with a plastic water bottle while announcing his collaboration with Amazon.

Pratt has famously dropped the kilos in order to play his iconic role as Peter Quill in the Marvel franchise Guardians of the Galaxy, reports the Daily Mail.

In the post, the Marvel star poses in a gym setting wearing activewear and holding a plastic bottle, which Momoa – an ardent ocean activist – noticed.

"Bro I love u but wtf on the water bottle," Momoa commented on Pratt’s post.

"No single use plastic. Come on."

Momoa is passionate about ending the use of single-use plastics and has shared his support online for legislation that’s currently in the works.

"Time to actively turn off the tap. An O'ahu with no single-use plastic service wear is possible now – Bill 40 is ready for you to support one final time," the Aquaman star shared with his followers, reports E! News.

"We get to make history. We get to lead the way."

Momoa has spent years advocating for clean oceans and water. Earlier this year, the actor shaved off his beard in honour of a new line of canned water he helped launch with Ball Corporation.

Pratt is set to appear in the forthcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 and Momoa can currently be seen in the drama series SEE.
