Cape Town - Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have put their wedding plans on hold months after announcing theirengagement.

An insider told US Weekly the pair, who have been dating since 2016, have decided to postpone their wedding over a venue change.

"They changed the timing due to the location they want," the insider revealed. "They're beyond in love.

"They're going to have one local wedding party, and the other will be a destination wedding party.

"Katy wants to have her first kid soon after they get married."

The Hot N Cold songstress and the 42-year-old actress got engaged on Valentine's day and were set to tie the knot in December, Metro reports.

During her appearance on the KIIS Kyle and Jackie O Show, the Fireworks singer revealed that both her and Orlando aren't in a rush to get married as they've both tied the knot before, Cosmopolitan reports.

"I think we're doing really great, and we're really doing the hard work laying a beautiful foundation before we start to build a massive house," Katy said.

"It's important for us to do the work before we go and take this really big next step. We were both married before and it's not the same in your 30s."
