Paula Abdul is in mourning.
The 57-year-old singer is mourning the loss of two of her canine companions, Tinkerbell and Charity.
The singer took to Instagram to reveal the news of her beloved dogs’ passing and shared snaps of the pups in a touching tribute. In the picture, Paula can be seen sitting on the floor with little Tinkerbell in her arms while Charity stands beside her.
“This last week, I lost two of my precious angels – Tinkerbell and Charity,” Paula wrote.
“A big piece of my heart is missing. So grateful to have been their Mommy and for all the unconditional love they gave me for all these years.
“It’s amazing the kind of love a dog provides – it’s truly a gift from God,” the star added.
Over the years, the former American Idol Judge has adopted many small dogs.
Most recently she adopted a Chihuahua puppy named Nemo, just weeks before the passing of Tinkerbell and Charity.
Paula was recognised by the American Humane Society in 2010 for her support of its Pets and Women’s Shelters (PAWS) programme and served as its spokesperson, Daily Mail reports.
