1. Since releasing their debut single Boombayah in August 2016, Jisoo (25), Rosé (23), Lisa (23) and Jennie (24) – aka Blackpink – have become the biggest female K-pop band on the planet! They currently boast the fourthbiggest YouTube fan base in the world, with more than 44 million subscribers.Only three other artists – Justin Bieber, DJ Marshmello and Ed Sheeran – have more.

2. Their name is more than just the juxtaposition of two colours that “look awesome together”. According to a rep from their record label, YG Entertainment, it’s meant to represent that “pretty isn’t everything”. “It symbolises that they’re a team that encompasses not only beauty, but also great talent.”

3. They made history last year by being the first K-pop girl group to perform at Coachella in the music festival’s 20- year history. “It was an honour to be part of Coachella,” Jennie said at the time.
