Seventeen seasons, nearly 400 episodes, a zillion operations, many life-threatening conditions, dozens of suspend-all-disbelief scenarios and the need for hundreds of boxes of tissues.

This, in a nutshell, is Grey’s Anatomy – TV’s longest-running medical drama and a series that introduced the world to McDreamy and McSteamy and made armchair medics out of millions of fans.

Now it’s back – and just when you thought you’d seen it all, super-producer Shonda Rhimes and her team of trusty writers have upped the ante again.
