Romantic drama. The new Netflix series making waves around the world is set in an alternate version of Regency England that’s racially integrated. The story is about the Bridgerton family, consisting of the widowed Lady Violet (Ruth Gemmell) and her eight offspring, ranging in age from 10 to 28.

The first season follows eldest daughter and fourth-born child Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and her quest to find a husband in her first season on the marriage mart.
