Australian actress Yvonne Strahovski stars in the sci-fi action movie The Tomorrow War as one of Earth’s last surviving military leaders and a scientist desperately trying to find a way to destroy aliens who have invaded and overrun the planet, bringing humanity to the brink of extinction.

The movie opens in the year 2022, when the World Cup final is interrupted by time travellers from 2051 who have come back in time to enlist soldiers and civilians to help fight the future war.

The story is told from the perspective of soldier-turned-schoolteacher, Dan Forester (Guardians of the Galaxy’s Chris Pratt), who must leave behind his wife and daughter when he’s conscripted to fight in the future.
