My kids see me as a monster

My children all see me as a monster because I’m the one who disciplines them while my husband is the one who spoils them. I’ve tried to talk to him about this but he says he’s busy with work all day and does not want to come home and shout and fight with the kids.

He wants to connect with them and hear about what they’re doing, which is great – but the result is that I’m the one who’s always laying down the law. What can I do about this situation?
