He’s famous for his aerospace enterprise SpaceX and his electric-car com­pany Tesla, and now Elon Musk is shaking things up again with his new venture, Neuralink. 

The South African-born entrep­reneur hopes to help people with spinal-cord injuries or conditions such as dementia and Parkinson’s to move and communicate by imp­lanting computer chips in their brains. 

At the moment the ground-breaking technology is still being tested on pigs – and that’s where Gertrude comes in.
