For years Swedish teenage activist Greta Thunberg has inspired and educated people across the world about climate change. Now the 18-year-old is turning her attention to raising awareness of burning issues in the food industry. Her new mission is to change the way we prepare, grow and consume food.

Greta believes this will help combat various problems such as disease outbreaks, cruelty to animals and carbon emissions, which causes changes in the Earth’s atmosphere and contributes to global warming and climate change. “The climate crisis, ecological crisis and health crisis – they’re all interlinked,” she said.

With human health, animal welfare and the environment at risk, Greta believes that if people switched to eating more plantbased foods like vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds among others, we'd be able to dispense with tons of gases that are polluting the planet.
