Scientists have been studying the coronavirus that causes Covid-19 ever since it started spreading across the globe. They’re trying to better understand how the virus affects the human body and to develop a vaccine against it. 

Different groups of researchers around the world are working on developing more than 165 vaccines. Two American pharmaceutical companies, Moderna and Pfizer, recently announced they’re starting phase three trials.  

But what does this mean? And how is the rest of the world progressing with vaccines?
