Line a dome dish 24cm wide and 12cm deep with a double layer of clingfilm.

1. Put the banana loaf slices between 2 sheets of baking paper or clingfilm and use a rolling pin to flatten. Line the dish with a few slices, making sure you cover the entire inner surface of the dish.

2. Put the caramel in a bowl and stir until smooth. Spread a layer over the banana loaf slices.
