1. Break the cookie dough into small balls, arrange on a plate and freeze for 1 hour. In the meantime, take the ice cream out of the freezer so it can soften slightly.
2. Transfer the soft ice cream to a large mixing bowl and add the frozen dough balls. Mix well, then return the ice cream to its container.
3. Sprinkle the chocolate over, seal the container with the lid and freeze for another 2 hours or until solid.
