In honour of Women’s Day, we’re making something special to give the women in our lives that extra oomph – everything from breakfast to treats to sweeten these tough times
Wholegrain flapjacks with apple and nut granola
It can be hard to include enough fibre in our daily diets. These flapjacks are bursting with fibres and the nut granola is high in omega oils. This breakfast will keep you fuller for longer and it’s also a perfect post-workout snack.
Calcium is crucial to a woman’s diet and an important component in strong bones. We’re using amasi in these cakes to provide a bit of extra calcium.
Basmati kedgeree with almond sprinkle
Rice is naturally gluten-free. This is the ideal dish to keep you satisfied for longer, whether at work or at home.
Instead of breadcrumbs, we use herb-and-lemon-seasoned oats for the fishcake crust.
Burgers can be healthy. We used ostrich mince, which is much lower in fat and high in iron. We’re also making the patties a little smaller for a lighter meal.
We’ve flavoured this dessert with chamomile tea, known for its calming effects.
