The butternut peel goes into the crust of this cheesecake. Butternut peel isn’t as hard as pumpkin peel and adds a nutty flavour to the crust.

Line 4x10cm cake tins or large ramekins with baking paper and grease well with nonstick spray. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Keep 2 baking sheets handy.

1 Butternut Peel the butternut and set the peel aside. Slice the butternut in half, scrape the insides out and set aside.
