French toast

  • 4 - eggs
  • 100ml - milk
  • 5ml - ground cinnamon
  • 5ml - vanilla essence
  • 100ml - castor sugar
  • 6 - slices sweet bread, like brioche or mosbolletjie
  • - TO SERVE
  • - crème fraîche
  • - Golden syrup
  • - Berries

Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.

1. Beat together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla and castor sugar until the sugar has dissolved.

2. Slice the bread into fingers, as large as you prefer.

3. Dip the bread fingers in the egg mixture for 1 minute – the bread should absorb the egg mixture.

4. Place the eggy bread fingers in the air-fryer basket and fry for 7 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.

5. To serve Serve with the crème fraîche, syrup and berries.
