Burgers can be healthy. We used ostrich mince, which is much lower in fat and high in iron. We’re also making the patties a little smaller for a lighter meal.

1. Patties Mix all the ingredients apart from the olive oil and divide into 6 portions. Shape patties and arrange on a plate, cover and chill for at least 30 minutes.

2. Heat a little oil in a non-stick pan and fry the patties in batches until golden brown on both sides and cooked to your liking.
