I use half regular and half extra-lean mince for these meatballs. I roast them in the oven – then they’re less oily and don’t break as easily. Instead of bread, I use a little oatmeal to bind the meat. The meatballs are served on sweet potato, which is lower in carbs and contains lots of fibre.

Preheat the oven to 190°C.

1 Meatballs Fry the onion and garlic in a little oil until soft. Add the parsley and carrots. Leave to cool.
