I always have a variety of dried beans in my food cupboard in winter. But when I’m in a hurry, I just use canned beans.

1 Season the meat with salt and pepper and brown the meat in a large pot. Remove from the pot.

2 In the same pot, fry the onion, garlic, leek, carrots and spices in a little oil. Add the meat, as well as the bay leaves.
